Buckskin was a portion of cemetery land given to slaves for burial. These were the slaves of John Griffith and he gave them their own land to live on.

Several slavesa re buried there and their families.

here are the names of the ones left with a stone.

Cary Bankhead 1850-1930
Polly Harrington died 1939
Bell Harrington d/o Lee and Susan Harrington 1865-1881
Infant son of J. & C. Fink died 1887
Infant daug. of J. & C. Fink died 1884
A. Reynold 1854
Willy Mackey 1869-1894
Flave Lee Harrington died 1909 102 years old
Susan Harrington wife of Flave.
