It is possible that there were more than one Strangeman Modglin. They appear to be Scotch/Irish and the Scots often used family names. To the point that makes it difficult to trace ancestors or to sort them out.
I am not aware of Strangeman Modglin being in Pope County. I know they really scattered out in Ill and into Ind.
