My James Modglin family records indicate that his son, Thomas T. Modglin, b 1834; d 1910, married Rhoda E. Smith. Dates for Rhoda's death are not available; however, since Thomas died in 1910, it is doubtful that his Rhoda married William Bostwick in 1860--unless they divorced. Have you obtained a copy of the marriage record from Monroe County? It should give additional information.
