Could there have been two Strangemon Modglin's from North Carolina? There was a Strangemon Modglin in Gallatin & Pope Counties of Illinois between 1814 and 1820. Unknown at this time if he was there prior to 1814 or after 1820. This Strangemon Modglin was one of the administrators for Thomas Rose of Pope County, Illinois in 1814. I have circumstantial evidence that Thomas Rose was married to Elizabeth b. abt. 1782, d. 1852, Fannin Co., Texas. I have evidence that Elizabeth was married to George W. Lackey of Pope Co., Illinois. George W. Lackey his wife, the Rose Children and the Children of George & Elizabeth Lackey all left Pope Co., Illinois abt. 1833 and Moved to Washington Co., Ark.
As I have stated before I have research that states the above Elizabeth b. abt. 1782 was the d/o Strangemon Modglin. I have talked with other Strangemon Modglin researchers but none state he was in Pope Co., Illinois. These same researchers state that this Elizabeth could not be the d/o of their Strangemon Modglin's.
