Shawneetown, Gallatin Co., Illinois. Page 71, Court of 21 Sept. 1814, on 23 Nov. 1814, Strangeman Mondgelin and Albert Rose applied for letters of administration on estate of Thomas Rose desceased.
Strangeman Modglin lived near George & Elizabeth Lackey according to the 1820 census.

Biographical Souvenir of the State of Texas, Printed in 1889, Page 732
Thomas Lindsey Rogers is a native Texan and was born in Fannin County, June 22, 1860. His Father Edwin C. Rogers, was a son of Joseph D. Rogers native of Tennessee. Edwin C. was educated at Murfreeboro, Tennessee and at Lexington, Kentucky. When still a young man he came to Texas, and in 1840-41, prior to the admission of this State to the Union, was a member of the Texas Congress. November 10, 1844, Edwin C. married Miss Nancy Lackey, daughter of George and Elizabeth (Modglin) Lackey, and by this union became father of seven children.

Ethel Rogers, wrote a article and in it she stated that Nancy Lackey Roger's had a half-brother named Tom Rose.

Strangeman Modglin moved to Benton Co., Ark. and lived in Ball Township near where George & Elizabeth Lackey.

George W. Lackey and family, including Thomas Rose, moved to Fannin Co., Texas abt. 1843.

The above lead me to believe that Elizabeth Modglin married a man named Rose prior to her marriage to George Lackey. According to age this Strangeman Modglin appears to be a brother to Elizabeth Modglin Lackey. Strangeman Modglin as above with Albert Rose applied for letters of administration on thomas Rose estate. Strangeman Modglin must have been helping to clear of his brother-in-law's estate.
