I have the following information on James Oliver Modglin from Betty Winn: He was born October 04, 1871 in Cobden, Union County, Illinois. He died November 16, 1942 in Anna, Union County, Illinois. He married Anna Jane Chism, August 12, 1892 in Union County, Illinois. He was buried November 18, 1942 in Toledo Cemetery, Union County, Illinois. His parents were Thomas T. Modglin and Rhoda C. Smith. His grandfather was James M. Modglin and his grandmother was probably Sarah Anna Taylor who was the daughter of Thomas Taylor rather than James M.'s second wife, Nancy Anna Hall Stilley. His siblings were: Pliana Sylvester Modglin, Sarah Ellen Modglin, and John H. Modglin. (Betty has more information.) Hope this helps.
