Hal: I don't know that Anapler married Strangeman and not Trueman and have unsuccessfully been trying to trace her. We do know that she married a Modglin as she is referenced by this surname in her father's will. The idea that she married Strangeman came from Estella Mae Burns Stewart in her book "The Burns Family and Allied Lines of North Carolina, Alabama and Texas". There are a number of inaccuracies in the book although it is a helpful starting point for those researching the Burns family of Chatham County. Stewart believed that Anapler was born about 1770 but I know of no documentation to support this. If you have information linking Anapler to Truman I would very much appreciate seeing it. Thanks for your help.
