Another piece of information that is interesting:
Oct. 28, 1850, Census, Benton Co., Ark, Ball Twp, Page 108, House # 146-146
Thos Guthry, 44, M, Farmer, VA; Zelpha Guthry, 42, F, Illinois; Elvira Guthry, 13, F, Ark; Wm. Guthry, 12, M, Ark; Mary J. Guthry, 9, F, Ark; Clary Mozelen, 88, F, NC; Barbara Mozelen, 48, F, NC.

This Clary appears to be Strangeman Modglin's widow Chloe.

My question is why he would follow the Lackey family to Ark? Strangeman was neighbors in Pope Co., Illinois to George W. Lackey & his wife Elizabeth Modglin Rose Lackey. He was their neighbor in Ark.
Strangeman was also one of the administrators of the estate of Thomas Rose in Illinois (Shawneetown, Gallatin Co., Illinois. Page 71, Court of 21 Sept. 1814, on 23 Nov. 1814, Strangeman Mondgelin and Elbert Rose applied for letters of administration on estate of Thomas Rose desceased. Is he helping his neice??
