Phyllis, I don't want to add confusion to the subject, but while researching my Hicks family roots, I came across the following information: Elizabeth Morral b. 15 Dec 1757 married Thomas Hicks b. 28 Dec 1744 in VA. The marriage took place 4 Jan 1781. Their children were: John b. 17 Apr 1783 in VA married Elizabeth Sodowsky 19 Jan 1804. Samuel b. 17 April 1785 in VA married first Nancy Dillon 21 Aug 1804; second Susan Gilman Gossum 29 July 1832. William b. 17 March 1788 in VA married Sarah Gailey or Golley; second Sarah Kinhale. James b. 2 Jan 1790 in VA maried Nancy Kindel in Shelby Co. KY 3 Feb 1816. Robert b. 2 Dec 1795 in VA married Molly Kindel, widow. Morral b. 25 Dec 1798 in VA married Nancy Jarvis. Elizabeth Morral's parents are listed as Samuel Morral and Mary Davis. This info comes from Jessamine Co Ky 1810 census, 1850 Hickman Co. Ky census, a book called KY ANCESTORS published in 1977 and A HICKS GENEOLOGY written by Mrs Dewey Johnson.
