Hi linda how are you?.malcolm Mckenzie muir b 17/02/1882 was my gg grandfather he was a Carter and Married mary brown on 28/05/1903 in Campbeltown,they had John brown Muir,my grandad who was born on 22/12/1914 in Campbeltown he married sarah queen 24/9/1937 in Pollok I don't know if my grandad muir had any brothers or sister's though,my brother told me that malcolm and mary addopted a polish refuge called zachiel,but I don't know if he is winding me up or not,I met Joseph muir who introduced himself to me as my gg uncle at my nana and papa's 50th wedding anniversary in glasgow in 1992,said he hadn't seen me since i was in nappies ha ha. in fact a lot of the family were there, but i didn't know the half of them were you there linda as I have pictures of the party,anyway back to family john muir and sarah queen had three sons Ian Muir b about 1940 married josephine ? they had three children stewart muir b abt 1960,fiona muir abt 1961 and Arleen abt 1962,uncle Ian and jo split up when I was about 8,Ian muir then lived with a woman called chrissy from linwood she had abt five kids, none to Ian muir,nana and granda muir lived in pollok for years,they had a caravan at whemyms bay that we used to go on holiday too.After Ian came my dad Brian Muir b 07/11/1943 he married Catherine Mcguire my mum on 4th may 1962 they had five children that includes myself four boy's and one girl,paul,katrina,john,brian and austin. then there was Ian muir who to my knowledge never married or had children,uncle Ian lived in manchester for most of his adult life ,he was wrongfully convicted of murder and served 14 years in a manchester prison,new evidence came to light and he was released with a hefty pay out,uncle Ian disapearred after nana muir died and was not at my grandad or father's funeral,nobody knopws what happened,some of the family said that his partner another jo stole all his money and did a bunk,when he was at my nana's funeral, sarah muir died in 1993 from a bloodclot which went into her heart,John muir died 1994 from cancer and my dad Brian muir died in 1995 from an epileptic seizure.that was the last I heard from any of the muirs.hope this helps some as there are more family from myself and my brothers,don't hesitate to contact me, best wishes katrina
