I seek information about my g-father william who's birth? baptism?was registered at dalmellington in June 1885 the day may be the 9th or 19th. His mothers maiden name was Gillespie (forename unknown). His fathers name unknown but it is thought he may have been a baker or pastry cook. He lived I think for a time in dumfreiss (not sure whether in the town or the general shire. I think he had a sister who died in early childhood. He went to new zealand then to australia probably in the early 1900 but probably about 1905-1910. if anyone has some information concerning the gent and his parents and siblings I would appreciate hearing about them.
he died in Sydney Australia in 1957.
