Lewis Keen 1825 (seems the transcribers make him Davis Keen) m. Susanna Mutter in 1849 Pike County, Ky. In the 1850 Census they are living next to Mary Mutter 1810, and her apparent children Thomas, Almedia, George W., Mary, James H., John W., Charlotta, and Sarah. The Griffey Griffin Griffinth? also near.
I have not pinned down who Keen is the son of, but the Keens in Pike mostly came from Buchanan Co, VA (Russell County and Tazwell County) I note several postings on this board mention the Bishops. Several Keens married Bishops in this area.
Susanna Mutter MAY BE in Floyd County, KY as well with the Johnsons. (Some Johnsons married Keen) Keens and Johnsons fought on the CSA side.
Keen and Mutter have Isreal Harrison Keen born about 1850. They MAY HAVE had a daughter Cynthia who married Miller.
Any information on this family most appreciated.
