Hi Jill, Surprise!!! Your E-mail kept returning, so, knowing you regularly check GenForum thought I would answer you here. Will go down the list of questions by numbers. #1-Voisin-is french for neighbor. #2-Be sure & check dates on "old Abe & Rebecca"--He b 1684-She b 1693. We have learned they are not always the parents. Lots of holes & gaps to be filled. #3-Drucilla Nabors McNeer was "not" mar to James Wm. McNeer as once thought but to John H. McNeer. They both died in Holmes Co. Miss. He d ca 1855--she after 1880. Census verifies this. Obviously, they did not go to Texas as some thought. Childern are correct. Dau. Sarah mar B.H. Nabors, son of Zedekiah Nabors of Amite Co. Miss. #4-John W. Nabors--Shelby Co.Ala. (brt. to Drucilla) mar Elizabeth "Betsy" McNair. Note her last name is McNair & not McNeer--different name & family. Childern correct. #5-The "Jacob Francis" we are looking at is a combination of Francis Neighbors & Jacob Nabors. We have Francis' history--wife Sally Wheat--Father--Benjamin,then, we have our Jacob's death date & his 6 childern plus 2 people who do not belong to him. Check your Whitman Neal Bk. pg.164 & your Tom Nabors Bk. Vol 2--pg.68 to verify Francis data. Note he is listed as Francis & not "Jacob Francis". It is now up to you to weigh the "pros & cons"!!! Good to hear from you, been awhile, keep in touch & happy hunting!!! Billie Notify Administrator about this message?
