Hi, Billie. My name is Lou Coy and I am working on the Nabors family for my daughter-in-law. Her mother, who is an Etheridge, is the granddaughter of Jim Etheridge and Johnie E. Nabors. Johnie is the dau., I believe, of John J. Nabors and Melvina Brooks, per the 1880 census for Weakley Co., TN. Johnie had 2 sisters and a brother that I have found on the censuses also: Selona, Artelia Wave, and Barney. In 1900 Johnie and Selona are living together, then in 1910 Johnie is married to Jim, they have 2 children and Selona is living with them. In 1920 this situation remains the same, but in 1930 Selona is living with Wave and her husband, Littleton Govey Hendon. I assume Johnie has died (no proof of death). If any of these names ring a bell I would appreciate your input. Thanks. By the way, in the 1880 census, Nabors is spelled Neighbors (those census takers!). Thanks again for any help you can give.
