Daphne:
I just finished looking at the 1900 Ohio
census that is posted on Family Tree Maker
web pages, and I found two Ferdinand families
listed. One was Ferdinand Nadler born Aug. 1865 in Ohio, parents born in Germany.
Wife's name is Anna Nadler born April.1866
children from this union: George born Nov.
1889, Ferdinand born Nov. 1890, Bertha born
Feb. 1892, and Carl born 1895,in Ohio.

The other Ferdinand Nadler ( who seems to
be the brother of my gg grandfather) was
born in 1848 in Austria as well as his parents. His wife's name is Katherine born
1848 in Kentucky, children Ferdinand born
Sept. 1873 and Walter born Feb. 1887 in Ohio.
This Ferdinand Nadler came to the US in
1853, per the 1900 census.

Ferdinand Nadler's parents would have been
born in Austria also, and their names would
have been Ferdinand Nadler and Margaret
Schumann. He and his brother, Herman Nadler
and sister Emma Nadler would have been
born in Austria coming to the US in 1853,
which matches what is stated on the 1900
census.

There is a record of a Ferdinand Nadler
arriving in New York on 1853 at age 53.
