our family has a william who came from mallow, cork. he went to australia in 1850 with his brothers and sisters. they stayed there for a few years and then some came to san francisco. my gggrandma, mary, married peter hansen in 1857 and lived east of s.f. we don't know what happened to william, although we could find no record of his marriage or death in australia.
