Jule, Do you have a Richard Nagle from County Cork in your family tree? My Richard came to the USA before the Rev. War, as he fought in that for the U.S. I've visited there twice and loved looking at the Nagle Mountains, and the Sir Richard Nagle castle in Cork. My Richard joined the Rev. War from Frederick Co., MD and then moved to Cambria Co., PA before 1790.
By the way, my maiden name is GRAY.
