Thankyou for the message, and adding to my family confusion!
My AJ Nagle, who is my Great Grandfather and according to my father left Ireland to take up a position with the Bengal/North Western Railways as an accountant. I do not know what his father's name was. As for Gorakhpur, well the family's history is centred around the place for a few generations and with a great deal to do with the railways too (my own father work on the railways during WW2 prior to getting married and migrating to Australia).
My Grandfather was Oswald Justice Nagle, he had five brothers, thery were Karl, Lesley, Noel, Frederick and Alexander.
The only other thing my father recalls about AJ Nagle, is that he remarried, and the offspring from this union was Jack, and he is reported to have died in England.
I would really like to hear more of your side as it appears we may have a few things in common and may help fill in a few gaps that exist.
