We have had a bible in our family that was purchased at antique store in 1974 in MA. The bible is a 1886 Parallel Bible, The Holy Bible.
There is an origial receipt in the bible that states it was purchased in Boston on Oct. 3, 1890 "Bought of R. Nagle, Bookseller, 597 Washington Street."
The bible was purchased by Alfonzo B Southard and has a lot of family history hand written in it; ie. births, deaths, marriages.
Just thought it would be interested to see where this search leads. Thanks for any information.
