I have also been looking into Jeremiah Nagle mainly to try and find out what happened to his sister Abigail or Abina who married William Twohey also a master mariner. They were in the same area as the Nagle family - Great Barrier & Auckland then went to Sydney Australia in the 1850's and then I lost them. There is a lot of index cards to newspaper entries etc in the Auckland Public Library 1837-1851 when they left NZ for California.
