Nagy Family Genealogy Forum

Hi, sorry if that is a stupid question but I am desperatly trying to find out where on earth my family got this name. My last name is so mixed up, but the earliest form we could find is Nagufegu on a docuement brought over from Croatia. I remembered my grandmother saying our last name meant Big Head (not vary flattering but none the less true for the skull size). So I went to a translator site and typed it in, I got nothing when I tried Croatian, but when I tried in Hungarian, it came out as Nagyfej, which is pretty close to my last name, Nadfey.
Then I tried looking up Nagyfej or varations of it but couldn't find any, except Nagy, I doubt this makes Nagyfej related to the Nagys except the shared first 4 letters. But its all I've got to go on at the moment, so I am wondering, am I completely off base?
