I don't know if any of my ancestors fit in with yours, but here is what I know:
NAUMANN family of Chicago, Illinois
My great-grandfather was Bruno Karl Naumann, born in Germany (in Saxony, according to a note from my grandmother), who was naturalized October 11, 1887, in Cook County, Illinois. Bruno’s birth year was 1864, somewhere in Germany. He married my great-grandmother, Caroline Josephine Schwenk, on 6/23/83 in Chicago. Caroline Schwenk’s birth year was 1863, in Ulm, Donaukreis, Wuerttemberg. I have no information as to exactly when Bruno Karl came to the United States, nor do I have more specific information as to exactly where in Saxony he came from. I have no information on Bruno’s parents, or other family members. Bruno and Caroline had the following children:
Paul Johannes Naumann, born 2/8/1884, in Chicago, Illinois
Arthur Karl Naumann, born 11/5/1885, in Chicago.
Alfons Eugen Naumann, born 1/29/1888 (he was my grandfather), in Chicago, Illinois (near Diversey and Sheffield)
Waldemar Eroin (Erwin) Naumann, born 12/19/1891, probably in Chicago, Illinois
Stella Mathilda Naumann, born 5/9/1895, probably in Chicago, Illinois
The next generation:
Paul Naumann married Louise Weinmann on 5/25/1907, in Richton, Cook County, Illinois
Arthur Naumann married Rose Kucher Oaker (or, Eaker?) on 11/5/1908, in Chicago, Ill.
Alfons Eugene Naumann married Bessie (Bernice) Harris on 6/2/1909, in Chicago, Ill. (my grandparents)
Eroin (Erwin) Naumann married Emma Knudson on 4/24/1915, in Chicago, Ill.
The following children were born from the Paul through Stella generation:
Pearl Naumann was born 4/16/1909, daughter of Paul or Arthur???
Norma Naumann was born 10/22/1909, daughter of Paul or Arthur???
Gerald Naumann was born 8/19/1910, son of Alfons. He died as a young child.
Evelyn Marion Naumann was born 2/7/1912, daughter of Paul or Arthur???
Richard Cyril Naumann was born 3/30/1913 in Chicago (my father), son of Alfons
Herbert Naumann was born 6/9/1913, son of Paul or Arthur???
Francis Caroline Naumann was born in 1918, daughter of Alfons.
Erwin Naumann died in an accident in Chicago, in 1924.
Bruno Naumann evidently died sometime prior to1902, as Caroline Naumann (nee Schwenk) married George Holle in Chicago, on July 31, 1902.
