Regarding your query on Frederick Naumann and believe I may have some information for you. What triggered my interest is that your Naumann relative came to the US in 1859 "with two brothers."

That is very much the same information handed down in my own family. Our family lore said three brothers came in the early 1860s and one brother returned to Germany). I have been researching my great great grandfather,
Casper Naumann/Caspar Nauman and we have documentation that he was in the US in 1857 (enlisted in the US Army). So,we have cleared up that the '1860s' was a little off. The dates are so close to your estimated date of immigration, though, that your dates and ours could be the same.

Caspar was born in 1838, so brotherhood birth dates appear close enough that a few more pieces seem to 'fit.'

I did find the marriage of Frederick and Marie in the Illinois state census of marriages, on March 28, 1868 in Madison County.

Interested to see if your gatherings pull these two men closer together.
