John Edward Buoy (1849-1927) married Rebecca Nearhood (1847-1903). Rebecca's dates are according to the Greenwood Cemetary site referenced below.
-They had a daughter named Gertrude "Gertie" Buoy (1876-1959) who married George Portzline (?b.1877 ?d. 1923)
After the death of Rebecca, John E Buoy married Carrie _?_
Farmland in Knox Co. NE purchased by John E Buoy in 1902 is still owned by his decendents.
I don't have any references to a divorce between Rebecca (Nearhood) Buoy and John Edward Buoy. 1900 Census records appear to show that they were still married.
Also according to usgennet.org they are both buried in Greenwood Cemetary in Creighton, Nebraska.
