This is the information that I have accumulated over the years about John's children;
John b. 5 Feb. 1846 Germany d. 6 april 1928 Canistota, SD m. 1) Christina Hirth 1867 Ackley, IA 2) Magdaline Eichorn.
Katherine b. 5 March 1848 Germany
Eva b. 15 Jan 1850 Germany m. Eichorn
Jacob b. 20 Aug 1852 Germany m. Sophie Seimers 10 Feb 1880
Katherina b. 11 March 1855 Germany d. 1945 m. Michael Sessler
Peter b. Aug 1858 Germany d. 14 May 1934 Sioux Falls, SD m. Amelia Eichmeir 3 April 1883 Canistota, SD
Michael b. 15 Sept 1861 Germany d. 13 Oct 1927 Freeport, IL m. Catherine Schlamp
I have tried to find out more information about their parents but have been only partly unsuccesful. I have a copy of John's death certificate stating that he died 15 March 1902 Loran, IL. He was 82 years, 7 days age at death. He was a farmer, born in Germany, lived 32 years in IL and died of pneumonia after 1 week of illness. He is buried in the Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ cemetery in Loran. I also know that he married a second time to Eva Gruber who is buried by him. She was a widow with seven children at the time of their marriage. I have no idea about the mother of John's children.
