George Sims Neve, b 25 Jul 1881 Chelsea, London, England, d 16 Apr 1932, bur Mt. Pleasant Cem, London, Ontario, Canada; m St. Luke’s Church, Chelsea, 1 Jan 1901 Louisa Maria Fiddes, b Nov 1873 St. George’s, daughter of Thomas James Fiddes of Chelsea, boot maker. George and Louisa had a daughter Elsie J. Neve (1904-1994). The family were members of the Church of England.
They immigrated to Canada in 1906 or 1907 and are listed in the 1911 census at London, Ontario, where George worked as a shoemaker. In England he served seven years in the Royal Navy. During World War I he served in the 31st Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force.
On George’s marriage certificate his father is listed as "Harry" Neve, a “machine ruler”.
The 1891 census of Kensington shows Henry A. Neve 38 born Norwich, Norfolk, "machine ruler (print)", wife Eliza 36? b Norwich, daughter May 15, son George 9 b Chelsea. Henry and Eliza appear in the 1901 census at Chelsea.
