Christopher Thomas Hensman, born 1863,St Johns, Surrey, father not known, mother Sarah Hensman. Came to NZ ,added "Mitchell" as surname, married Georgina Margaret Burns Dec.1885, lived Puhipuhi, Northland, opened Manders Mill School c.1906.When did he come to NZ, why change his name? Family tale mentions "Mitchell,s Soaps", possibly jumped ship in Auckland. Can anyone help
