Alfred Scrivens (born about 1854) married Amelia 'Millie' Leary (born about 1865 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, the daughter of John Michael? Leary and Mary S Jamieson) on 1 Mar 1893 in Wanganui, New Zealand. Ameila died in 1955 at the age of 90. Alfred died in 1927 at the age of 73. Borth are buried in Wanganui, Aramoho Cemetery.

Their daughter Evelyn Mary "Eva" was born 24 Dec 1893 (NZ). She married Joshua Edward Wilks in 1914. Joshua was a sheep farm manager in 1918 when he was called up for World War I service. Evelyn died in 1969. Joshua died in 1967 at the age of 75. They are both buried in Wanganui, Aramoho Cemetery.

Alfred and Amelia's daughter Fanny was born 27 Aug 1895 (NZ) and married Walter Victor Madden 13 Oct 1923 (NZ). Walter was born in 1901 (NZ), the son of Frank and Mary Elizabeth Madden. Fanny died in 1955 and Walter died in 1980. Both were cremated at Hawkes Bay Cremetoriam.

New Zealand birth records do not list Alfred James "Jim" Scrivens (born 29 Aug 1907 died 1975), son of Alfred and Amelia. Perhaps the last name is mis-transcribed in the records.
