I searched various New Zealand resources I have and the only record I found was the death of a Jane Leather in Auckland, 1869. Her age is not recorded. There were no other burials, deaths, marriages or records of children born to Nat and Jane. No articles at PapersPast that mention Nathaniel. There are articles that mention the Brogden Navvies. An article in the Taranaki Herald, Volume XX, Issue 2009, 10 July 1872 states "BROGDEN'S NAVVIES ARRIVED".

Nat and Jane are not on the manifests for the ships Chile or Zelandia, which brought the early groups of Brogden's Navvies to New Zealand. There were 15 ships total that they came on but I don't know all the ships names. There was an article, with the ships listed, printed in "The New Zealand Genealogist Jul/Aug 1996". I don't know how you can get your hands on the magazine.
