Hello Anne, I've been looking for anything about George but there are a lot of George Sutherlands! Too many to find a marriage without the bride's name. There are also two George's who died in 1937!
I will have a look at the Family History Centre next week to see if I can find anything more; in the meantime, you may like (if you haven't already done so) to go to

then click on to Contact us - they may be able to help. It is interesting to see that there is a James Stenhouse buried in Palmerston Cemetery, but he died in 1889 aged 51 yrs. It may be that George worked for the family and was buried in the family plot.
