Cathy-thanks for answering my post. The name was originally spelled "Normandin" and down the line it changed. But my father's folks came from Canada. He remembers that the household spoke French until he was 12 years old. Some of his kin also moved down south to New Orleans (Acadians, I guess). A first cousin of his by the name of Gizelle married a gentleman by the name of Dunn. Their son Ivan searched for us through the Red Cross at the end of the war in the Philippines. So I remember meeting him and then, about 15 years later, he came to see us in Arlington, Va. At the time his home was still at Marlboro, my father's birthplace. How to find him to get more leads, is the problem. I lost track of him.
