Looking for parents of WG Norton, name believed to be William or Willis Grady born 5 Oct 1842 GA died 12 Feb 1906
Choccolocca Calhoun Co AL. Married Julia Elizabeth Bennett abt 1866-1867, daughter of Willis (Welles) D. Bennett,born 6 June 1846 Randolph Co AL, died 10 Aug 1913.
Both are buried at Harmony Baptist Church in Calhoun AL
(Dates are taken from Gravestones)
I have not been able to find him on 1850 or 1860 census before his marriage.
Help will be greatly appriciated.

Mr. W.G. Norton, a prominent citizen, Mason, Confederate soldier, an admirable specimen of religion, was buried with Masonic honors at Harmony Baptist Church the 13th. Bro. Scott delivered the funeral oration to a large congregation of Masons, friends and relatives. Mr. Norton will be greatly missed by the community, his lodge, and especially his wife and children who mourn his loss. He carried a severe bullet wound received in the war that doubtless hastened his death by paralysis.
