I'm trying to find information about Edward Norton and his wife, the parents of Susan Norton. Susan married Michael Sanor around 1856 or 1857 in Santa Clara County, California. She died there in 1888. Her grave marker notes that she was a "Native of Canada." Another source says that she moved to California from Canada with her parents, but does not give any dates or other information. There is no death certficate for Susan on file with Santa Clara County and there is no record of her death in the California State Archives, which has a register dating to that period.
