I would think that Jeremiah Henry Norton would be in Massachusetts since he married Electa M. Taylor about 1859 in Massachusetts. When I went to the LDS website it says that Jeremiah was born in 1826 in Orleans County, Vermont, which is close to Quebec, Canada.

I have not been able to find anything about his parents, but that they were born in Vermont. Probably in Orleans County, I would presume the early or 1800's or late 1700's.

When searching my genealogy, I have found that it is very common to have the middle name one of the parents or a relative of that person.
