Diana - Leonard is in 1930 census indexed as "Norten" so that's probably why you didn't find him

At Ancestry you will find trees for this family - Robert Lee Norton m Lovella Brown. He was son of Andrew Jackson Norton and Emily Jane Barker. Grandfather James W Norton m Matilda Grogan.

At findagrave for Cleburne Co in the Lower Cane Creek Cemetery in Edwardsville you will find Leonard, Andrew, Emily, Matilda, James, Hemp and others in this family.

Here's a little trick - it's how I found Leonard in the census at Ancestry. Choose a census year and then enter just the first name with the state of birth, date, and year & the county & state you are looking in.....that would bring up everyone named Leonard in the area. Or, you can enter just the name Norton with the same information as above...that will bring up all the Nortons in the area - sometimes the first names are the ones that are misread/mispelled & you can pick it out from there. Some years allow you to narrow the search by adding names of parents, places of birth for parents, a spouse name, sex, race, etc.

Hope this helps a bit :) Vicky in AZ
