Re: my posted message 12 May 2001 - My DEEPEST and SINCEREST apologies to you Mr John North!!! I did not INTEND to apply FAULT regarding my lengthy Nunnelee research in any way, shape or form!!! Rather, I was just stating 2 facts: 1) I had been searching for my Nunnelee connection for 22 years - but I left out the first 10 years were fruitless because my great-grand father Nunnelee apparently told his kids a bunch baloney about his birth and ancestry. (2) About 9 years ago I paid a researcher to find all 1850 census entries in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi with a head of household or wife named Caroline or Annie: it was THIS person I assumed had misread great-grandfather's name on that particular census for 1850 and 1860. (3) I would have NEVER known about that error if YOU had not been so gracious and conscientious to have contacted me and advised me of it!!!! (4) I was just trying to encourage Regina to not give up easily when it comes to N540 searches (5) my apologies to YOU and to all who may have read my message and misunderstood my intent as well! On my puny little website, I assure you I acknowledge and thank all N540 researchers for their help over the years and state that without them I know I would have never found my connection! We all make mistakes and we all misread at times and we all misinterpret something or the other and without other dedicated researchers, no one would be able to accomplish so much in a lesser amount of time. My mistake in my message 12 May 2001 was assuming whoever read it would automatically understand my intent. I cannot express how horrified I am that I insulted you!!! Please, please forgive me??
