In 1999 I received a copy of a typewritten manuscript of 66 pages written by Robert E. Brown, grandson of Presley J. O'Bannon/Thomas Clarence Brown (b.1836, IN - d.1915, MO). (Presley J. O'Banon was son of Elias O'Bannon (1806-1844) and Rebecca Hunt of Crawford Co, IN). The manuscript tells the story of how and why Presley J. O'Bannon changed his identity to Thomas Clarence Brown and traces Brown to the end of his days. The last I heard from Robert was early in 2003. I will try to contact him at that last known address and let him know you're interested, if he is still alive (he would be 80 this year). If I can not get through to Robert after a decent interval, I will try to get copyright clearance from any heirs and send you a photocopy of what I have. I also have entries in my O'Bannon genealogical data base summarizing Thomas Clarence's family, which I could wrap up into a GEDCOM or descendent report.
