Record reads, At a court held for Spotsylvania County Tuesday June 7th 1737, Samuel Pepper, a servant boy belonging to Briant Obannon of King George County is this day adjudged to be thirteen years of age towards payment of levies. I have done very much research in the counties of the Northern Neck and this is Bryant Boru Obannon( the immigrant) and this is Samuel Pepper Sr. Bryant was the proginitor of the Obannons who migrated to Ky. and Samuel is the man who produced the Peppers of Mason, Woodford and Garrard Co. Ky. Even though Bryant did have a neighbor who sighned court records in King George by name of Laz Pepper I have not been able to tie them together. He might have just been an indentured servant from Ireland. The Holtons, Oldhams and Peppers seemed to be together in America and connected wherever they came into. They were together in Scituate and Plymouth area in 1632. Not the same bunch in Northern Neck. The Peppers who owned the ferry service in Augusta Co. Va. very early were of the Mass. group.
