The marriage of Matthew O'Brien and Mary Ann Shannon in 1833 was recorded in parish records in St. John, New Brunswick, as was the baptism of their first 6 children. Their last two children, however, were born in Nova Scotia, William in 1855 and Sarah in 1857. If you have any information regarding where they might have lived in Nova Scotia I would love to hear from you! Their first 6 children were Mary (1834), Thomas (1837), John (1840), Moses (1842), Elizabeth (1845) and Matthew (1852).
