My O'Bryan(t) are from Amherst CO. VA, Franklin, Patrick, Bedford, Floyd VIRGINIA. Listed as Emigrants from England, Tepper Passengers to America, Roanoke City Public Library, VR 929.5, T 268, Port of London 2nd to 9th Jan 1774. List Thomas, John and Patrick, Occupation Husbandman, from Ireland, ship Amelia, to Philadelphia and settled in Amherst CO. VA. He died and wife Judith ? married John Gilmore of Amherst VA. John Gilmore died prior to 1768 as his Will was probated in October 13, 1768, Amherst County, Virginia, He says "he leaves so much to Judith, his wife, the former wife of Thomas O'Bryan and her three children, William Harrison O'Bryan, Elizabeth and Susan, and his and Judith's children, Mary, Catherine and John Bradley Gilmore" Will is signed by a John Gilmore's mark and witnessed by May. Witnessed by John Mayfield and John Brady.
