Hi,
Meley Jane Wofford was my 5th great grandmother. Her grandfather was Col. Wm. Wofford who started Wofford Settlement in GA. Her father was Nathaniel, also living in Cherokee land in GA. Her mother was reportedly named the equivalent to "Little Flower" and was a Cherokee woman. Apparently Nat'l Wofford had a child with Little Flower while married to Comfort Snow, with whom he had all his other children.

It seems to me that Duncan is a likely candidate for Wilson O'Bryant's father. He was also in the GA Cherokee area, having been granted land (found on the same document as Nat'l Wofford's grant). Some believe Wilson and Duncan to be brothers. THere may have been a brother named Duncan, but as we know, there is a Duncan on the 1790 census in SC listed as Head of Household. It's not likely, therefore, that he would be a sibling of Wilson b. 1798.

Hope this helps and is at least partly new to you. If you have anything more, I'd love to hear from you.
