I'm interested in Ignatius O'Bryan (spelling varies) and his family. My ancestor, Sylvester O'Brien is first seen in Martin County Indiana in 1830 and he married Theresa Clements in 1829 there. He was born in KY about 1809, and have been trying to identify his parents and ancestry. He is believed to be linked to the Ignatius Obryan family. One of Ignatius' sons, Robert, was in Martin Co., IN by 1820, and family story tells us that Sylvester was raised by an Uncle after his parents died. His father could have been another son of Ignatius, Joseph. A Peter OBryan shows up in 1830 Martin Co. as well, living not far from Bassell Clements.

Other surnames associated with this family are CLEMENTS, CARRICO, QUEEN, RINEY ...

Also, I ran across a web site for MD families who migrated to KY (St Marys, Charles County...)by doing a GOOGLE search. I beleive I saw a Mathias OBryan listed as a land owner in the Newtown Hundred.
