O'Bryon Family Genealogy Forum

I am desperately seeking Billy O'Malley who according to my Grand mother and her brother came over from Manchester England in the 1850's or 1860's. My Grandmother and her brother (both still living) agree that he killed his brother-in-law in England (with a gun) for beating and killing his sister. They also agree that he entered the United States through New York. When he entered New York City he immediately changed his name from O'Brien/O'bryon to O'Malley. My Grandmother's brother says that he married a woman in New York and had children (2) with her but they died when some disease swept through and killed many people one year. So why did'nt he die? Well who knows, but we do know that he lived and moved down to Eastman Georgia where he settled and at the ripe old age of 54, in (1894), married Lilla Buchanan of Eastman. She was 28. Four years later in 1898 they had a daughter named Lillie Mae O'Malley. Now Lillie Mae was my Grandmother's mother. What I am seeking is his paternal and maternal information. I think since he was the town brick layer in Eastman Georgia and since he lived there so long someone must remember who he built buildings for and where in New York he came from. We know he originally came from Manchester England. We know he died in 1908 after raising his daughter to be about 10 years old. He did re-marry Lilla's sister Annie Buelah Buchanan McEachern. She was a widow and had three or so children from her husband in or around Unadilla Georgia. She raised Lillie Mae after his death with her own children but any monies and inheritance went to the Buchanan's line. She basically married Lillie Mae off at the age of 16 to Tommy Lee Powell. I have pictures of Billy O'Malley's mother, father, and sister that was murdered by her husband. Lillie Mae kept these pictures and tried to pass the stories along to her children. I really would like to find out these people's names. If this story rings a bell or if the names ring a bell please email me.
