Hi Shirley, Love the map, thank you very much! As for Arbella Stewart of Ochiltree, I would suggest the "Clan Stewart" website - Also "Clan Stewart Magazine", don't have the web address right now, but.. it can be found on a search engine. The "Clan Stewart Magazine" had a number of Stewarts in Ochiltree, mainly the children and descendants of the first Stewart who traded one title to his brother-in-law (Hamilton) for that of Lord Ochiltree and then the branch which bought Ochiltree and the title from the eldest brother who went to Ireland, he became Lord Castlestuart, even tho he it appears was referred to, even then, as "Lord Ochiltree" - ("House of Castlestuart", GA Archives, Atlanta, GA) The only other Arbella I've heard of is one in the NC Scottish Colony which they called, Argyll Colony...her name was Arbella "Ochiltree" however, rather than Stewart. If I should locate anything on Arbella Stewart of Ochiltree, I'll be sure to let you know. Keep me posted on what you find. Sincerely, MaryJean Notify Administrator about this message?
