Hi Anne Thank you for your informative response, it is good to hear from you. Catherine and Peter were born c1838, and arrived in South Australia on board the Charlotte Gladstone in 1866, along with their children Michael, b 1862, Mary Francs, b 1864 and John, b 1865. Three more children were born after arrival, Katherine, 1867, Elizabeth 1869, and Margaret Mary 1871. (all in South Australia). Peter died in SA in 1873, and Catherine moved to Young NSW with her surviving children. She never remarried. Her NSW death certificate, 18 July 1898, gives her name as Katherine. At the time of her passing, Michael, Katherine and Elizabeth were living, she had lost 1 male and 2 female children. I have her death certificate, an old photograph of her tombstone, her funeral 'remembrance' card, and a few photographs of Michael, Kate and Lizzie. Elizabeth, my grandmother, married Henry JAMES, in 1903, in Young, NSW. They had 3 children, Mary Elsie, Peter Francis and Bridget Catherine. Henry died in 1939, in Young and 'Lizzie' followed him in May 1955. I have their marriage certificate, but not her death certificate. Peter Francis JAMES was my father. You are welcome to copies of any papers that I have. You see above most of the information I have on this family, but I would love to know more. So, Anne, I will leave that part up to your judgement, and look forward to hearing from you soon. If you would like to reach me outside of this forum, please write to: eaglenst2@earthlink.net Looking forward to hearing from you, Regards Cousin Valerie Notify Administrator about this message?
