John O'Donnell came to Queensland, Australia

My great grandfather John O'Donnell came to Australia in the late 1870s or early 1880s as he married Catherine HICK in December 1881, in the town of Rockhampton. Catherine was from Cornwall, & John from Leitrim Ireland. John died 1904 & is buried in the Mt Morgan Cemetery. When John died he left his wife Catherine with 12 children, ages from 21 to 1yr. Catherine came to Brisbane about 1913-1915 & set up house in the Newstead/Fortitude Valley area, as her youngest son Stanley Oliver was killed in a work accident in 1920 in this area. Maybe someone knows of this family. There eldest son Thomas Rodgers/Rogers was my grandfather.I live in Brisbane. Regards Joan
