He was the uncle of Bernard Boyd who married Johanna W. Sherfesee (my family line). Mr. O'Neill brought Bernard to Charleston before the war and sent Bernard Boyd to school during the war and set him (and his brother James Boyd) up in business. The brothers became Boyd Brothers Wholesale Liquor and Grocery business on East Bay Street in Charleston. I would like to know the O'neill history along w/ any of the Boyd History. I know the Boyds are buried @ St Lawrence Cemetery in Charleston. I have an obit for Bernard O'neill too but just need detailed info on family.
