Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery Records (Mecklenburg county, NC) indicate James Ormand,Sr's dates of birth and death as 1669 to Feb 20,1766.
The date of death must be correct correct since the earliest grave in this cemetery dates from 1764.
Cemetery also contains grave of James Ormand, Jr. 1719 - Dec. 3, 1771
No indication of wife for either. Indeed these are the only two Ormands in the church yard.
Hope you don't mind me butting in. I came across your request while conducting my own research and it caught my eye since I attend the Providence Church. Our cemetery committee would be interested in any information you may eventually turn up about these two in order to make their records that much more complete.
