I am intrigued by the name Osteyee as it is close to one of the variations of a surname I am researching -- Austeel. My gr gr grandfather Joseph Austeel came to Missouri from somewhere in French Canada about 1840. His marriage record is shown as OSTEGE. I'm proceeding on the assumption that the name was originally Ostiguy which has a dit name of Ostilly, Ostie, or Ostils. I thought perhaps Osteyee could be thrown in there too. Do you know the origins of the Osteyee name?
