Hello Adrienne.

My Jane PATERSON (OVENS) was born in 1823 in Peebles Scotland. William was born in Biggar, in about 1826 and they married in Peebles in 1853.
Of their children
Elizabeth Keddie OVENS married William SUMMERS
Thomas OVENS married a Margaret (surname unknown)
Jane Paterson OVENS was unmarried in 1901.

This family is too late to be of your family
but may or may not have been William OVENS sibling.(I have no knowledge of Williams' Parentage)

I do have another OVANS/OVENS family
Thomas OVANS/OVENS b c1797 Biggar married
MARION PATERSON b c 1785 Libberton
(your Jane could have been of this family)?

They had 1 known child..John OVENS b c1830

John married a Jane GILCHRIST of Crawfordjohn in 1857.
